This policy explains what information Platform Controls collects when you use this website or contact us, and how we use it. We are a UK-based manufacturer and this site is aimed at trade, OEM and distributor customers rather than general consumers.

What we collect

• Details you submit through our contact form: name, company, email, phone number, enquiry type and message.
• Basic technical data (browser type, pages visited) collected automatically for site analytics.

How we use it

We use the information you submit to respond to enquiries, process trade requests, and provide quotes. We do not sell or share your details with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us what data we hold about you, request corrections, or ask us to delete it. Contact ianm@platformcontrols.com for any of these requests.

Third-party services

Our contact form is processed by a third-party form provider (Static Forms) which delivers submissions to us by email. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policy.

Terms & conditions

These terms apply to your use of this website and to any orders placed with Platform Controls. Placing an order with us constitutes acceptance of these terms.

Orders & quotes

Quotes provided via the contact form or email are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Trade and OEM pricing is available to approved account holders only.

Product specifications

We manufacture to fit specific OEM part numbers and equipment models. It is the buyer's responsibility to confirm the correct part number for their machine before ordering; we're happy to help confirm compatibility if you're unsure.

Intellectual property

Platform Controls part numbers, product photography and site content are our property or used under licence and may not be reproduced without permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Warranty & returns

Every joystick controller and control box we manufacture in-house carries a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of dispatch.

What's covered

• Component or workmanship failure under normal operating conditions.
• Units that fail our stated function test criteria within the warranty period.

What's not covered

• Water ingress, physical damage or misuse beyond the unit's IP rating.
• Wear items and damage caused by incorrect fitting.

Making a claim

Contact us with your order reference, part number and a description of the fault. Approved warranty returns are repaired or replaced at our discretion; carriage is agreed on a case-by-case basis.

Non-warranty returns

Because parts are built or configured to order, non-faulty returns are considered case-by-case within 14 days of delivery and may be subject to a restocking charge.

Shipping & delivery

Most catalogue parts are held in stock in Shropshire, UK and dispatched within 1–3 working days. Bespoke or OEM production runs are quoted with their own lead time.

UK delivery

Standard and next-day courier options are available at checkout or on request for trade customers.

International delivery

We ship to our worldwide distributor network and directly to OEM customers. International lead times and carriage costs depend on destination — get in touch for a quote.

Damaged or missing items

Please inspect deliveries on arrival and report any damage or shortages within 48 hours so we can resolve it quickly.
